Haven’t posted anything in a while, so I thought it was time to give a bit of an update on what’s been going on…
We’re still right in the busy season, and it’s been hectic — in a good way! Lots of people coming up and staying in Gunny, and everyone has been absolutely loving it.
We’ve finally got the outdoor kitchen in at The Ridge after a 4-month wait, and it’s already been a massive hit with guests. I’ve also added a heap of new kitchen items — no longer just the basics, we’ve definitely stepped it up another level.
Over at The Grove, there are still a few projects coming up… more painting when (or if!) things quieten down, and a brand-new roof on the way.

Going forward, we’ll be moving to a 3-night minimum stay.
We may have been a little spoilt with the longer bookings over the holiday period, but most of our bookings are already 3 nights or longer. We’ve found this works best for both our guests and the property — it allows everyone to properly settle in and enjoy the space without feeling rushed.
Both The Grove and The Ridge are growing in popularity, and we already have several longer bookings locked in toward the end of the year, which has helped guide this decision.
The property is very much designed as a place where you can take a week off work, switch off, and just chill — rather than just an overnight stop…
So you might have to tell the boss you’re taking Friday or Monday off if you want a weekend stay 😉
That said, we’re still happy to offer 2-night stays for last-minute bookings or short gaps, where possible. If you’re ever looking for something flexible, feel free to reach out and I’ll do my best to accommodate.
As always, if you have any questions or special requests, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Thanks so much,
Sean
