🚧🌿 Construction is progressing across Crangan Bay

From new streets taking shape in Stages 5 and 6, to the almost-complete pathway and first viewing platform connecting the community to the lakefront, there’s plenty happening on site.

The pathway and viewing platform are nearing completion, with the boardwalk continuing to take shape. The full lakefront connection is expected to open by the end of 2026.

Stage 5 civil works are also progressing well, with kerb and gutter installed and services now in place, while bulk earthworks for Stage 6 are complete and underground services are underway.

🌊 5 things to do with Dad around Crangan Bay this Father’s Day 🎣

Looking for a way to spend Father’s Day close to home? From catching a wave and casting a line to a lazy lunch, a picnic by the lake or a morning at the markets, there’s plenty to do around Crangan Bay. Here are a few of our favourites 👇

🌊 1. Get out amongst nature (or catch a wave)
Explore the walking tracks through nearby Munmorah State Conservation Area, take the Grass Tree Track towards Frazer Beach and pack a picnic lunch for a day amongst the coastal bushland. Or, if Dad’s idea of the perfect day involves wax instead of walking boots, head to Birdie Beach for a surf and soak up one of the coast’s most untouched stretches of shoreline 😉🏄‍♂️

🎣 2. Cast a line
For the dads who’d rather be fishing than sitting still, pack the rods, a picnic lunch and head down to Gwandalan or out onto the waters of Lake Macquarie. Find a quiet spot, throw in a line and make a day of it on the water. 🎣☀️
