Saturday 29 August is set to be unforgettable at the Hervey Bay Whale Festival, a jam-packed day (and night!) of family fun.

It all begins at 2pm with two celebrations running side by side: City Park Festivities and Seafront Celebrations. Expect live music, kids' entertainment, carnival rides, food, market stalls and kite and lantern workshops.

Then, as twilight falls, take your place in the glowing procession at this year's Parade of Lights. The theme is Magical Migration, inspired by the humpbacks' incredible journey. Think radiant whales, shimmering jellyfish and mystical mermaids lighting up the night.

The evening closes with a dazzling fireworks finale at Seafront Oval.
