Home in the bay – Was started to fill the gap we can see in the market for people just like you that are looking for someone to look after their investment property. Yes, it’s a business but first and foremost it’s a home. Its going to be a home that someone will live in, a place for a family to grow in, a place where memories are going to be made, a safe haven, a place to laugh, cry, watch movies
on the weekend, have friends over for a BBQs, a place to put your feet up after a huge week at the office or worksite. When you find the perfect home for someone it’s a wonderful feeling. About us – Sandra got into Real Estate at the ripe old age of 21. After working as a chef overseas and deciding to return home to the Sunshine Coast she looked at buying a home with the hard earned money from overseas and a great exchange rate she set out on the search to find the perfect first home. Only to find that an agent wouldn’t show her through a home that kept calling to her. So what does any determined young lady do? You go straight to the top and ask the boss and guess what, 20mins later a contact was signed! A new carrier was found! Off she headed to the REIQ and obtained a full licence, then with the help of wonderful parents, purchased her first real estate agency, LJ Ho**er Bli Bli. After having the agency for a few years a new challenge was sort after, so this office was sold and a new one opened in the heart of Mooloolaba, Blue water Rentals and Hot Shot Properties was born. This agency had over 500 properties under management, a large sales division that specialised in off the plan homes working closely with the developers of Chancellor Park and Kawana Island, selling mainly to investors. There was also a building and pest arm to the company. A lot was achieved in a short period of time. So much so after 6 years Ray white offered to buy the business out. What’s a girl to do next you say? Head to Magnetic Island and buy a resort right on the beachfront. Now this might sound like you’re living a dream. However its great for a couple of years then you start to miss family and friends. To cut a long story short, the Bay was calling me home. After having some time off and having a son who now attends Fraser Coast Anglican College and is a budding soccer star in waiting, Real Estate was calling me back again doing what I love, looking after people and their homes.
