πŸ“Έ A Walk Down Memory Lane at QCWA Flying Fish Point πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί
The history of QCWA Flying Fish Point is built on community spirit, friendship, and traditions that have brought locals together for generations.
One of our most cherished annual traditions has been hosting the Australia Day Breakfast, a wonderful opportunity for families, friends, neighbours, and visitors to gather and celebrate what makes our community so special. From early morning conversations to shared laughter and delicious breakfasts, these events have created countless memories over the years.
We are delighted to share a collection of photos from the 2002 Australia Day Breakfast, recently donated to the QCWA Flying Fish Point archives. These photographs capture familiar faces, community pride, and a snapshot of a tradition that continues to hold a special place in our branch's history.
Take a look through the photos and enjoy this glimpse into the past.
πŸ‘€ Can you spot yourself, a family member, friend, or someone you know?
We would love to hear your memories of Australia Day Breakfasts at Flying Fish Point. Share your stories, tag your friends, and help us celebrate the rich history of our wonderful community.

🌸 A Warm Welcome to Our New Members! 🌸
What a wonderful Craft Day we had on Thursday! It was lovely to welcome new faces to our group and share a morning filled with creativity, friendship, coffee, and conversation.
A special thank you to everyone who brought along their beautiful creations for our "Show and Tell." We were delighted to admire a stunning quilt, lovingly made for someone special, along with some gorgeous knitted pieces and other inspiring handmade treasures. The talent in our community never ceases to amaze us!
Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared stories, enjoyed a coffee and a chat, and helped make the day so welcoming and enjoyable.
We look forward to seeing you all at our next Craft Day.
If you've been thinking about coming along but feel a little nervous, why not bring a friend? You'll find a warm welcome waiting for you. Everyone is welcome, whether you're an experienced crafter, a beginner, or simply looking to connect with others in the community.
πŸ’• Friendship, creativity, coffee, and conversation β€” we'd love to see you there!
** We can't show a photo of the amazing quilt yet until it has been given to a special loved one - but we will show you soon.

πŸ’œ A Heartfelt Thank You πŸ’œ

The members of QCWA Flying Fish Point would like to extend our sincere thanks to the incredible team at Tropical Coast Sandblasting, especially Michael Stuart ("Stewie"), for the outstanding work restoring our treasured metal emblem.

Your time, skill, and dedication have helped bring a special piece of our history back to life. Seeing the emblem being restored is a wonderful reminder of the support and generosity that surrounds our branch during this challenging rebuilding journey.

We are truly grateful for your hard work, craftsmanship, and community spirit. Thank you for helping preserve a symbol that means so much to our members and our community.

From all of us at QCWA Flying Fish Point – thank you, Stewie and the Tropical Coast Sandblasting team. πŸ’œ

A heartfelt and enormous thank you to Monique and Daniel from MODA Real Estate for their incredibly generous donation to support QCWA Flying Fish Point. ❀️
After the devastating fire at the QCWA Hall and Seaside Cottage, followed by cruel break-ins, our community has faced some truly difficult days. So much was lost, damaged, and stolen, but what continues to shine through is the strength, compassion, and generosity of the people around us.
This wonderful support from Monique and Daniel will help us continue repairing the Seaside Cottage and replacing items that were lost and stolen. More than that, it reminds us that we are not facing this journey alone.
In times of hardship, communities either fall apart or come together β€” and our community continues to show just how strong and caring it is. The kindness shown by local businesses, neighbours, friends, and supporters has been overwhelming and deeply appreciated.
Thank you again, Monique and Daniel, for standing beside QCWA Flying Fish Point and helping us rebuild. Your generosity and community spirit mean more than words can say. πŸ™πŸŒŠβ€οΈ
