The General Merchant

The General Merchant The General Merchant was formerly a Cafe, Restaurant and Bar in Inverell. The building was built in 1867 as a general store.

It forms part of the well-maintained heritage streetscape. The building is the last remaining timber commercial building in the CBD and is in a prominent position on Byron Street. The building has been recognized by the state heritage organisation for previous projects and it has even featured in state media publications.
