The critically endangered Queen of Sheba Orchid flower has been successfully cloned and is now flowering at Kings Park.

WA scientists have been able to grow large numbers of the orchid from a small number of seeds - and this groundbreaking technique has the potential to save other threatened orchid species.

We’re working hard with scientists to protect and restore our environment, so that orchids like the Queen of Sheba is available for everyone to enjoy for generations to come.

A Saturday night, a country hall, a live bush band and plenty of dancing. Sounds like a pretty good night in Jamieson!

The Jamieson Bush Dance is bringing Blackberry Jam Bush Band to the Jamieson Memorial Hall for a fun, family-friendly night of live music and good old-fashioned country fun.

Saturday 14 November 2026
6pm to 10pm
Jamieson Memorial Hall

There’ll be a free sausage sizzle and ice creams, and the event is bring your own drinks.

Coming from Mansfield? Leave the car at home and jump on the free bus, with designated pick-up and drop-off points along Mansfield-Woods Point Road. Bus seats need to be booked with your ticket.
