Hi All. Just want to update our prospective customers on services we offer and location changes.
We have been having technical issues with contact platforms and now rectified, I realise we have missed out on getting peoples messages and therefore responding to people. We sincerely apologise for this.

This is not something you would expect on a brand new build.. 🙄.. I suspect they didn’t get a private stage inspection done at Pre Handover or Lock up.. I also suspect that the builder told them “ It’s within spec..”
Surely if you’re spending that much on a new home you would want the best? .. we love doing Pre Handover Inspections for our customers to pick up in this sort of thing and assess the whole remainder of the build.

Worth following these guys from Melbourne. They bring the harsh reality of what some builders think is now acceptable. We see this sort of things growing across the industry. This could have been picked up at a Lockup inspection prior to paying the stage claim. Also I see defects at Prehand over inspection that would have been picked up by a private inspector at frame stage.. well worth considering if you’re spending big $$ on a new home …

If you’re building a new home right now with a project builder you’re probably not enjoying it.
Major delays in trades, poor supervision and red tape are causing massive over runs to the contract timelines.
Don’t let the builders push you around with strongarm tactics by demanding payments before they are due!
Engage an independant inspector
to inspect the property for non compliant items, contract variances and generally poor workmanship, BEFORE you pay the builder. ( In particular Pre Hand over inspections).

Don’t forget! When you are building a new home it is a MUST to get a Pre Handover Inspection done, to hold the builder to account on poor workmanship and compliance issues that they sometimes try to hide from the unsuspecting owner. This gets provided to you, so you can present it to the builder, before you settle the final invoice.!
