Sorry we have been closed for the past year and still remain closed until the local Margaret River shire decide to administer our application for only 4 campsites on our unique and one of a kind 5 star rated campground we created . Hopefully they decide to promote tourism in the southwest by allowing small and boutique camping and glamping.

Happy New Years everybody. Wishing you a wonderful 2021. 🍾

If the early bird gets the worm then the sunrise hiker gets the shot! Local photographer Peter Jovic Photography snapped this beautiful scene whilst taking a stroll along the Cape to Cape track and it really couldn't be any more iconic of the Margaret River region. That crispy clean western sky with a groomed ocean and marching swell lines are what make this trail one of the most picturesque in the country. Absolutely glorious πŸ™Œ

Another great shot! Just up the road from us

The colours of the Margaret River region coastline are almost hypnotic in nature. A day spent bathed in the blue and turquoise water is enough to take you to heaven and back, especially when you find a little secret spot like this one (via Instagram) has here all to yourself! Want to know where it is? We'll give you a hint, it has some of the friendliest (non human) locals you can say hello to in the entire region.. πŸ˜‰

Amazing!! We are so blessed with some gorgeous beaches around us.

Two of the Margaret River region's icons in one! Sugarloaf Rock towers out of the emerald water as a surfer scores a perfect tube with just his mates out. Imagine the feeling of flying out of a barrel only to pull off the back of the wave with that view to feast on. Absolutely delicious! πŸŒŠπŸ„β€β™‚οΈπŸ€™

πŸ₯‚ πŸŽ‰ Epic news: direct flights from Melbourne to Busselton will start 1st February ✈️

Jetstar will fly three times a week, from Melbourne’s Tullamarine to the Busselton-Margaret River Airport. Initial sale fares start at $149 each way (bargain!)

Originally scheduled to begin in March 2020, we’re stoked these direct flights will start early in 2021. It's fantastic news, especially as the West Aussie borders reopen, and we think our pals flying in from Melbourne are going to love the warmer weather, beautiful beaches, long winery lunches and incredible biodiversity.

This particular stretch of sand runs from Meelup and Castle Rock (pictured) right down to Dunsborough in the distance. It's a choice spot for swimming, stand up paddle boarding, snorkelling or hiking the bush trails, often as a prelude to the Cape to Cape Track walk. You can see why Lonely Planet named this region Number 1 on their Best in Asia Pacific list, with water "the hue of Bombay Sapphire bottle".

So what are you waiting for, Melburnians, it's time to snap up some tickets! ✈️ 🎫

So beautiful!!

So beautiful!!

To say Meelup Beach is a favourite summer hangout amongst West Australians would be an understatement. The pristine stretch of sand hidden away between Dunsborough and Eagle Bay would have to be one of, if not the most consistently beautiful beaches in WA thanks to it's sheltered position and calm blue waters nearly all year round. When we think of summer in the Margaret River region images like this one from MKZimagery immediately come to mind with the classic colour palette of blue / turquoise water and lush green hills making up memories that keep us coming back day after day. πŸ™Œ

When the largest animal on earth comes to visit (blue whale, they visit every spring) it'd be rude not to go and say g'day, right!?

πŸ“Έ Dylan Dehaas Films was lucky enough to see twelve of these magnificent creatures over the weekend, and it looks like the people aboard Naturaliste Charters would have been bubbling with excitement too.

Blue whales grow to around 29 metres and 170+ tonnes, making them the largest animal on the planet. They migrate through Geographe Bay each year as they travel between the Antarctic breeding and feeding ground and the warm 'maternity ward' waters of the Kimberley region. It's estimated that only a few hundred blue whales migrate along the West Australian coast each year, while around 35,000 humpback whales make the annual journey.

Be sure to join a whale watching cruise before the season wraps up - there are charters departing Dunsborough and Busselton twice a day. If you have a Wander Voucher to redeem this week, whale watching could be a winner!

Life's full of fun times, party dates, deadlines, catch ups and more... but when you're down south, sometimes you just need some time to chill out. Whether that means slowly cruising along on your SUP (stand up paddle board - pictured here at Meelup), fishing off Augusta Jetty or snoozing in a hammock on your the deck of your holiday house, it's sure to feel just as relaxing as this incredible scene!
