Looking for something to do this weekend???
Kirrawee will host its first-ever night food market this weekend, with Biddy Giles Park set to come alive across two evenings of street food, live music and family entertainment.
Eat Drink Nights Kirrawee will run on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September from 5pm to 9pm, bringing up to 40 food and drink vendors to the park beside South Village Shopping Centre.
🍜 Visitors can expect flavours from across the world, with vendors expected to include Big Boi Tacos, Ola Lola, Maido Okonomiyaki, Jom Satay, Dumpling Cheers and Damaskos Greek Souvlaki.
The menu is set to range from slow-cooked birria tacos and Spanish paella to Japanese okonomiyaki, Malaysian satay, dumplings and Greek souvlaki.
Those looking for something sweet can also expect Belgian chocolate-dipped strawberries from Dripped, while local businesses Millsheds Distillery and Bar and Champore are among those expected to trade across the two nights.
🎶 Alongside the food, the free-entry event will feature live music and family entertainment, including giant bubbles and a puppet show.
🌙 The weather is also looking favourable for the two evenings, with dry and mostly clear conditions expected on Friday before a warmer Saturday. Saturday is forecast to be breezier, with only a slight chance of a shower.
🚗 For those driving, three hours of free parking is available next door at South Village Shopping Centre, with additional parking available around Kirrawee. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, with parking expected to be busier than usual.
🚆 Those planning to attend on Saturday are being advised to plan ahead, with buses replacing T4 trains between Cronulla, Waterfall and Central due to major trackwork.
There will be no regular train services through Kirrawee on Saturday, with passengers encouraged to allow extra travel time.
Friday night marketgoers will be largely unaffected by the major T4 changes, which begin after the event finishes.
