One of the standout extras in our Kyabram SDA home is the 30kW solar system installed across the property ☀️ It is something that can make a real difference to everyday living, helping keep power bills to a minimum for tenants while creating a more sustainable and efficient home environment.

From the very beginning, we wanted this home to offer more than just the standard. Along with Platinum Liveable Housing design, spacious accessible living and premium finishes throughout, practical inclusions like the solar system were carefully considered to provide comfort, quality and long-term value for the people who call this home.

We’re so proud to share this moment.

This home has been a true team effort. Kylie Lieberman CEO of Vivid, Louise Bolton as Vivid Living Manager, Brendan Roberts our builder, and Ash and I from Rising Able Homes all coming together to bring this to life.

What started as an idea 3 years ago, has turned into a beautiful, thoughtfully designed home for the people who will call it their own. But it’s more than just a house. It’s about creating opportunity, connection, and much-needed services for our Kyabram community.

We did it and we are so proud.

After three years of planning and collaboration with Vivid, our SDA home in Kyabram is complete. Designed across Improved Liveability (IL), Fully Accessible (FA) and High Physical Support (HPS), and built to Platinum level under the Liveable Housing Australia guidelines, this home has been thoughtfully created to support comfort, independence and dignity.

Seeing our first resident settle in and call it home has been incredibly special, and a reminder of why we set out to do this.

It’s been a little while between updates, but for a good reason. We’ve been quietly busy behind the scenes, putting the finishing touches on something really special.

We’re almost there. A bit of paint, flooring, tiling and lanscaping to go, and this beautiful home is nearly complete.

This space has been built with purpose. Every detail considered, every step taken with the people who will call it home in mind. What started as a plan is now becoming a place of comfort, dignity and belonging.

We’ll be holding an opening day soon so we can welcome our community in and share the home we’ve built together. We can’t wait to open the doors, show you around, and celebrate what’s been created.

Big progress at Rising Able Homes! The frame is up and the roof is on. We had our pre plaster inspection today with Jeremy Soden from Forward Access. It is not compulsory at this stage but it mattered to us to ensure that everything is on track for compliance at completion.

Huge gold stars to our builder Brendan Roberts. No issues following inspection! Massive credit to his workmanship & commitment to this project. Next up is windows and brickwork which is when the build really starts to come to life.

We also loved a visit from Kylie, Lou and Meaghan from Vivid who came for a site tour.

Feeling very proud and a tad emotional to see this come to life 🥹

From the moment we first spoke with Sean at Formspace, we aligned in purpose. We both knew this wasn’t just about designing a building that met the basic standards. It was about creating a home that would truly support freedom, safety, and dignity that went above and beyond what was required. Together we brought that vision to life.

Sean, goes above and beyond just design offering support, advice, and connections every step of the way. Can’t wait for the next one.

Exciting progress on our first Rising Able Home! The site cut and slab are now complete thanks to BW Contracting.

Gamec Plumbing have been through and sorted all the under slab work. Sewer stormwater and water lines are in. Everything’s now in place for the bathrooms, kitchen and laundry down the track. Big job done right before the concrete went down.

Mat Langley Electrical also prepped all our underslab conduits and connected mains power getting us ready for the next phase.

The slab is now curing, and next up is Brendan Roberts Constructions and his team who’ll kick off framing. We can’t wait to see this beautiful home start to take shape!
