In Tasmania, homelessness isn’t someone else’s problem - it’s happening in our own communities.
On the last Census night, 2,350 Tasmanians were experiencing homelessness - A 45% increase since 2016
Around 39% are children and young people.
And every day, people are relying on crisis accommodation, couch surfing, or sleeping in cars just to get by…
As a real estate agency, we understand something uncomfortable:
People often see businesses like ours as part of the problem.
High-performing agencies. Rising markets. Limited supply.
We get that.
But what we also see - every single day - is the human side of housing.
The families trying to secure a home.
The renters doing everything right and still struggling.
The gap that continues to grow.
That’s exactly why we choose to show up.
At This Space Real Estate, we believe being part of the housing industry means being part of the responsibility - not stepping away from it.
We give back where we can.
We advocate where we can.
On the 18th of June, we’re stepping outside our comfort zone to support those who don’t get a choice.
Because homelessness doesn’t always look like what people think.
It’s not just rough sleeping.
It’s uncertainty. Instability. No place to land.
Everyone deserves a place to call home.
