Ever wondered what happens before your breakfast reaches the market?

Today we are busy checking, grading and packing tomorrow’s eggs. Every egg is carefully inspected for quality, sorted by size, and packed by hand to make sure only the best make it into your carton.

It’s not the quickest job, but it’s one of the most important. Fresh from our pasture-raised hens to tomorrow’s market, with plenty of care in between.

See you tomorrow morning at Kingscliff Lions Beachside Market come early before the favourites disappear!

Chickens eating kimchi? Yep, you read that right.

Our girls are lining up for their kimchi, specially made by 📍4 Raven Place, Clothiers Creek, NSW 2484 . The natural ferments and probiotics help support gut health, which means happier hens and healthier eggs.

It might look a little unusual watching chickens devour fermented cabbage, but around here we believe healthy soil, healthy hens, and healthy guts all go hand in hand.

And judging by the excitement at feeding time… the girls are definitely fans.

Freshly laid, packed with rich golden yolks, and produced by hens roaming outdoors on fresh pasture.

Perfect for rainy weather baking!

Moving day happens once a week here at Limpinwood Layers.

The chicken caravans get shifted onto fresh pasture so the hens always have new grass, bugs, sunshine, and room to roam.
The chickens spread manure naturally, scratch through the paddock, and help fertilise the soil as they go.

Sounds simple… until you get a flat tyre or you find an escapee hen or 10 or it’s rained for a week and it all becomes one giant slip and slide.

Ginny Weasley had a baby girl.

Right in time for Mother’s Day, Ginny welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world.

And as tradition goes, we had a choice of 3 names and Lilly Luna is perfect.

Happy Mother’s Day, to all of the wonderful mothers, out there, especially Ginny.
