When I started in Real Estate in this area over 30 years ago, it was predominantly a male oriented Industry. I can tell you that I received hell not only from outside but also within the Office...I never broke then and after all these years, I can assure there is no hope that it will ever happen!!!!!

A couple of years ago I was honoured and humbled to be awarded with a Fellow of the REIQ commendation, and that was not because of my longevity in the business, and have always conducted myself with integrity and professionalism.

Last Tuesday, one of my Owners, of which I have a current Exclusivity with, was sent a letter by this Rogue Agent, stating that they have probably not had the "best selling experience thus far " and who has been in this area for 20 years, offering his services along with testimonials from"people who have gone before", (I hope they have not passed away as yet....) as he knows the area like no other Agent does... Professional courtesy alone dictates that you should not put down another Agent, but he has now crossed this line , yet again.

If this person cannot obtain listings on his own merit and has to sink to these levels to poach from someone else, I strongly suggest that, like in the Western movies, he should "ride off into the Sunset", because he will definitely NOT BE MISSED...

Is there any wonder why the Public rate us down the bottom of the ladder with Agents acting the way they do, undermining the Professionals amongst us?

I have not written a post in a while, but I am passionate about this subject and I sincerely hope that you will be too...

Last evening I saw a segment on Channel 9 about a 70 odd year old female farmer, out before the sun rose hand feeding her animals at a cost of $4,000 a week to her. It broke my heart and convinced me to do something about the situation... Procrastination is the thief of time, and let us face it...we have run out of time...ACT NOW!!!

The State Government are not getting behind these hard working wonderful Australians, who are too proud to ask for our help, and I loathe asking for money (honestly), but for them, I shall happily do so....We are all Queenslanders, NOT just the Country folk verses the City dwellers...we are all in this TOGETHER!!!!

If everyone gave $10.00 (the price of 2 coffees) just think of the difference it would make!!! Without the Cattlemen and the Farmers, what food would we have???

Helping Overseas plights is a good thing, but it is high time we helped those most deserving of assistance in our own backyard!!

Farmers in South Australia are shipping up bales of much needed hay at their expense and the wonderful Truckies carrying this Manna from Heaven are giving of their resources as well to assist...well Queenslanders, PULL together now and show that we are made of better stuff and DONATE on 1800 732 165, the Todayforfarmers fund...

Please give the Farmers and Cattlemen hope in their darkest hours and tell them WE CARE!!! Give them back their self worth and determination by showing and proving to all these wonderful hardworking men and women that we stand by their side... The rain is staying away, but we can give some relief PLEASE!!!!
