Today St Pats has lost a true legend. We are deeply saddened to advise the passing of St Pats legend Mick "Wombat" Aprile. Sincere condolences from our community to wombats family amd friends.

Wombats legend will be forever.

He will be missed by so many. But I’m sure we are all truly grateful and appreciative of what he has done for all of us and st pats footy would not be what it is today without his contributions.

Rest in Peace Mick, I’m sure Borris will be there with a few beers and yarns to be caught up on.

Proud to be a part of it all again next year, great school with great people that have built an amazing programme. All the best to head coach Schiff and players.

We are very please to announce that Ian Schifilliti will be Head Coach of the 1st XIII for the 2023 season. Schiff brings years of coaching experience to our program and was very successful in coaching our Year 10 Cowboys Challenge side last year.
Schiff will be assisted by Matt Paul, Shane Mau and Pat Daly, with the program managed by Chad Buckby. We are looking forward to another great year for Pats in 2023!

🐔🏆🥇🥈Big night for the chooks last night, my youngest Cleo going down 10-8 in her grand final, maya and eva just missed out on a premiership in extra time but eva backed up for the u/18 and got her first premiership. I was lucky enough to chime in and help out with the u/18 girls team and run some water to claim another medallion. Proud to be a part of the walkerston wanderers rugby league club. 🐔🏆🥇🥈

The end of the road for st Pat’s first XIII for 2022, the boys went down with a great fight v iggy park at queeensland country bank stadium in Townsville. Was amazing to be apart of a team that accomplished so much this year. All the best to the young men moving on at the end of the year and and already looking forward to being apart of the 2023 campaign.

I was lucky enough to be part of the 2022 St Patrick’s College Mackay’s confraternity rugby league carnival. Gardian is a major sponsor of st Patrick’s/ mercy college Rugby league and I am proud to be apart of it all. It was a great week catching up with old and new faces. I was even surprised after the grand final with bray tait giving me his game worn jersey. Bray played the same position and number as I did way back in 2000, he also moved in from Moranbah to play footy at st Patrick’s like myself all those years ago.
