The recent UDIA luncheon regional property market update provided valuable insights into the current state of the Mackay and Whitsunday property market and the factors shaping its future.
It was great to hear from Milly Baker (Opteon), who shared the latest regional market trends and an overview of the key economic influences impacting our region, including affordability, interest rates and the broader economic outlook. We also gained valuable on-the-ground perspectives from a panel who took questions from the floor, offering insight into the opportunities and challenges ahead. It was great to catch up with fellow industry professionals at the Resource Centre of Excellence, enjoying great company, drinks, and nibbles in a relaxed setting. Events like these are always a wonderful opportunity to strengthen existing connections, meet new people, and stay engaged with our local resources sector.
A highlight of the evening was hearing from Ronald McDonald House North Queensland, who shared the incredible work they do in supporting families with seriously ill or injured children. Their dedication and the positive impact they have on so many lives was truly inspiring.
