If you had told me that one day I’d find complete happiness standing in a Christmas shop — surrounded by trees exploding with candy canes, elves dangling upside down like they’ve had too much sugar, and a Father Christmas who looks like he knows all my secrets — I would have laughed.

But here I am.
Back in the Christmas shop.
Smiling like I’ve been plugged directly into the fairy lights.

And the best part?
I’m back in the arms of my tiny 5-foot English friend — the one who squeaks so loudly my hearing aids try to escape.
She makes me laugh, she makes me cry, and together we shuffle around this shop like two mismatched elves who definitely weren’t hired for their height.
She’s my tonic.
My feel-good medicine.
My daily dose of chaos and comfort.

Flowers and feathers.
Birds and doves.
Butterflies and glow balls.
Everything has its place here.
It’s not simple shiny tinsel —

The only Jewish girl, smiling proudly, fitting in perfectly… in the most unexpected place.

I’ve realised is this:
Christmas spirit isn’t about religion.
It’s about feeling.
Joy.
Warmth.
Magic.
Humanity at its happiest.

And I get to stand in the middle of it today —
with elves winking at me,
gnomes judging me,

This shop is happiness.
Pure, uncomplicated, glitter-covered happiness.

Out at 7am this morning in Mandurah — fresh air, salty breeze, curls in full chaos mode, and two dogs acting like they own the coastline.

I honestly love living here.
The ocean on one side of me, the marina on the other… wild and calm at the same time. Exactly like my personality.

Walking in the morning reminds me how important movement is. Not for weight, not for steps, not for show — but for health, for clarity, for feeling alive.
Just putting one foot in front of the other can change your whole day.

So here I am… salty, windswept, dog-dragged, and grateful.
Moving my body. Clearing my mind.
