Some people call it exhausting. I call it standard weekend around here. 😅

🌿 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 𝗪𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗘 𝗔𝗧 𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦 - THE CRACKED SHOWER SEAL

It can look like a tiny cosmetic issue, but cracked, lifting or separated silicone around a shower base or screen can let moisture reach places it shouldn’t.

At routine inspections, we look for:
• Gaps or splits in the seal
• Silicone lifting away from the shower base or glass
• Persistent dampness or staining around the edges

If you notice a seal starting to separate, please report it through the usual maintenance channel with a clear photo. Don’t wait for the next routine inspection, and don’t scrape out or reseal it yourself unless authorised.

Early reporting gives the owner and property manager the chance to arrange the right repair before a small maintenance item becomes a larger problem.

Small gap. Big potential for water damage. Report it early.

Historic, creative and unmistakably Freo.

This port city brings together heritage streets, the working harbour, weekend markets, independent cafés, arts, music and easy access to the coast. The Fremantle Markets have been part of the city since 1897, while five local beaches give residents plenty of ways to swap the street buzz for the sea.

And this week, there’s a little extra purple in the air.

The Dockers are heading to the SCG to take on the Sydney Swans in Friday night’s preliminary final—their first prelim since 2015. The bounce is at 5:40pm WA time, with a place in the Grand Final on the line. No pressure, Freo. 😅

The last time these two met, Fremantle came home 38-point winners after a nine-goal final quarter, so the Purple Army has every reason to believe.

🌿 𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 — 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗪𝗘 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥?

A routine inspection isn’t about checking whether your cushions are straight or whether there’s washing in the laundry.

We’re there to check on the property itself.

Things like:

• Signs of leaks, water damage or mould
• Maintenance that may need attention
• Condition of walls, floors, fixtures and fittings
• Gardens and outdoor areas where applicable
• Smoke alarms and other visible safety concerns
• Anything you’ve noticed that needs repair or follow-up

Of course, we do expect the home to be reasonably clean and cared for — but it doesn’t need to look like a display home.

Routine inspections also give you an opportunity to point out anything that isn’t working properly or that you’re concerned about.

The goal? Catch problems early, keep the owner informed and help keep the home in good condition for everyone.

A lived-in home is completely normal. A neglected maintenance issue is what we want to know about.

Sitting between the Leschenault Estuary and the Collie and Brunswick Rivers, Australind has that relaxed South West feel — without leaving everything you need miles away.
