Perth’s weekly median rent for houses remained at $750 per week in September 2026, unchanged since May. With the median holding at this level for five consecutive months, the year-to-date average from January to September now sits at $735.56 per week, compared with $710 in January.

The latest figures show no change in the median weekly rent for houses since May, following the increases recorded earlier in the year.

Mandurah Matters is seeking community feedback on the proposed Blue Bay Foreshore upgrade, with the City of Mandurah inviting locals to share their views before any designs are developed.

The proposed works are currently anticipated for the 2027/28 financial year and would focus on the foreshore reserve. The existing car park is not included in the proposed changes.

Community feedback can help identify potential improvements, as well as existing features people would like to see retained. The planning process will also consider the protection of sensitive dune vegetation and the natural environment.

Feedback is open until Tuesday, 17 November 2026.

The City of Mandurah is seeking volunteers for a range of upcoming events, with opportunities to meet people, gain experience, learn new skills, and get behind the scenes.

Mandurah Christmas Pageant – 4 December 2026
Mandurah Christmas Lights Trail – 4 December 2026 to 3 January 2027
Carols in the Park – 20 December 2026
Mandurah Crab Fest – 13–14 March 2027

Roles include helping with activities, information points, event set-up and pack-down, surveys, and even mascot appearances with Claw’d the Crab.

Applications close Monday, 22 February 2027.

Rental prices continue to vary across Australia’s capital cities, with Perth recording growth across the year.

Perth’s 3-bedroom house median increased 2.9% over the June quarter to $720 per week, which was 9.1% higher than the same time last year. The 2-bedroom other dwelling median remained at $700, up 7.7% year-on-year. Among the cities shown, Melbourne recorded the lowest 3-bedroom house median at $560, while the national median was $651.

Rental movements continue to differ between cities and property types.
