🏡 What is LVR? 👇
LVR = Loan to Value Ratio
It’s the percentage of a property's value that you borrow from the bank when purchasing a home.
📊 Example:
Buying a property for $500,000 with a $100,000 deposit means you're borrowing $400,000.
➡️ Your LVR is 80%.
Why does LVR matter?
✔️ A higher LVR means a higher risk for the lender
✔️ You may be required to pay Lender’s Mortgage Insurance (LMI)
✔️ Understanding your LVR can help you plan your deposit and potentially avoid additional costs
💡 Knowing your LVR is an important step towards making informed property decisions and getting loan-ready.
