'Doing it' meant taking up a career in real estate, something which he had been thinking about for years before taking the plunge in 2015; first he completed his course to become a real estate salesman, then decided to go all out and open up his own agency so he completed his full licensee course and opened Dual Real Estate in November 2015. "It’s a very interesting field and let’s say there are some interesting characters in the industry. I decided to open my own agency instead of joining one of the big name franchises. because I wanted our agency to be different, flexible and competitive

Stephen, who has opened an office at Maroubra beach, feels he knows and understands the property landscape of Maroubra and the surrounding areas, as well as the people. But Stephen doesn't restrict his services to the eastern suburbs: he's prepared to take on clients throughout greater Sydney, "We'll travel anywhere. We're an independent agency so we have the flexibility to sell a property here [in Maroubra] or the northern beaches. Our aim is to treat every client with the utmost respect, whether there selling or leasing a 1 bedroom unit or a 7 bedroom mansion we will put all our energy into getting the best possible result for them utilising the internet, print media and our ever growing database

And unlike some real estate agents, Stephen aims to be more than just a "rent collector"; providing a more personal, hands-on approach: "We're a small team and we can definitely offer a more one-on-one, face-to-face service." Stephen acknowledges that competing with the 'big brands' won't be easy, but he knows in time that people will come to know what Dual Real Estate has to offer.
