CONGRATULATIONS MAX 🎉🎉🎉

Max has completed all the requirements to now be a Licensed Surveyor in South Australia. After 4 years at University, 2+ years under a training agreement with the Board of Surveyors and a major survey project, all the hard work and effort has paid off. This continues Weber Frankiw's knowledge base to be in the best position to be able to enhance your next project.

Satellite imagery can be a great starting point to see where your boundaries sit in relation to your property BUT they can not be relied upon as shown here. The imagery doesn't fit. Its always a good idea to get boundaries surveyed by a Licensed Surveyor to know if you or your neighbours have any encroachments.

Have you ever wondered 'What does a surveyor actually do?'
Most people think of us as the person on the side of the road looking through a camera (theodolite). Yes that is us but we do so much more.
- We measure what is on the ground including levels and contours, and draft plans to show this information.
- We set out designs in 3 dimensions so builders know where to build.
- We give professional advice on Land Divisions where we can point out any potential difficulties and manage the whole process to getting new titles.
- Licensed Surveyors are the only ones allowed to mark boundaries by law. We have gone through years of study and training, CPD requirements and auditing. We even have an act in parliament that governs the industry. Survey Act 1992.
We measure office/retail spaces to work out lease areas.
Surveyors are highly skilled and have vast knowledge in many aspects of development. We are a professional industry that is highly governed. The use of a surveyor will value add to any project.

There is a new Planning and Development system coming into effect on March 19th for metropolitan Adelaide. 'improving certainty and consistency in decision-making and assessment'. If you have been knocked back previously for a land division, the criteria may be changing and you might have better success with the new system.
Give us a call after the 19th and we will assess your chances under the new system.
