For over 40 years, Lowe Design & Build has crafted bespoke luxury homes and townhouses across Bayside. This quickly became the company's mantra.

Defined by considered design and meticulous construction, we create refined, low-maintenance residences without compromise. Established in 1984 and formerly known as Lowe Construction, Brian Lowe commenced the business with a steadfast focus on absolute attention to detail. Another focus area that gained pace over time was community involvement. Together these two values set the foundation for the

company. From 2010 to 2018, Brian together with his son Matt Lowe, co-directed and further developed the company, naturally recognising and supporting its greatest asset - that of its employees, contractors and suppliers. Matt Lowe is now at the helm as General Manager and is backed by the company’s values and accumulated design and build experience within the bayside area.

In Progress | Aspendale Beach

Compact in footprint but rich in personality, this custom home makes the most of its beachfront setting, with beautifully considered interiors complementing views across Port Phillip Bay.

As construction progresses, bespoke materials and finishes are beginning to bring the interiors to life. From the stone-clad fireplace surround to the Calacatta Viola marble kitchen, each element has been specified to bring texture and character to the home.

This week, our entire team came together for our annual planning day. It was a chance to reflect on our achievements and discuss the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.

The day concluded with a social afternoon and some competitive bowling, giving us time to connect as a team while aligning on our priorities and how we’ll work together to achieve our goals.

Handcrafted tiles and natural stone create a richly layered material palette, bringing warmth and cohesion to the space. Generous in scale and thoughtfully planned, the bathroom comfortably accommodates extended family and guests while contributing to the home’s relaxed, resort-like atmosphere.

At Aerie, every architectural element has been thoughtfully considered in response to its site. Layered, corbelled brickwork is central to that response. More than a defining architectural feature, it forms a protective edge that shelters the home from the activity of Beach Road, buffering traffic noise, enhancing privacy and creating a genuine sense of refuge. Beyond, the first-floor living spaces are carefully recessed within the building, allowing uninterrupted views across Port Phillip Bay while feeling protected from the movement and activity beyond.
Every detail has been designed to balance outlook with privacy, and openness with protection. The result is a home that feels deeply connected to its surroundings while offering a place of calm above them.
