Most traditional underfloor heating systems work by heating cables or hot water pipes first, then transferring heat into the surrounding air through conduction and convection.

Far-infrared graphene heating works differently.

Instead of concentrating heat around cables or pipe paths, thermal energy is released more evenly across the floor surface through radiant heat transfer. This allows heat to spread throughout the space in a softer and more balanced way.

Traditional systems are often described as:
