We spent ages looking for garden edging that would handle the variety of heights we needed around the house and that would actually last, and finally settled on Straightcurve Garden Edge and were not disappointed installing the first two garden beds 😍

Every time we tick off a task we’re like THIS is the biggest change but honestly, finally tidying up the garden bed edging and starting to really mark out defining spaces in the yard is 🤌🏻 and with the weathering corten steel it’s only going to get better 😍

Stay tuned to see how they weather into the beautiful rust colour and add some plants in!

How we saved around $15,000 DIYing our 25m fence 👀

It would have cost $20k+ to have a tradie build the whole thing, and that kind of price just wasn’t in the budget 🙈 So we decided to tackle it ourselves, from the steel frame through to the cladding, render and paint.

We learnt A LOT along the way, and there are definitely a few costs we could have saved on. Andrew changed the design once we’d started, which meant ordering more steel (and another delivery!), plus all the little extras that come with a project this size 😂

So here’s the honest breakdown of what we actually spent.

So I had a few people in my DMs asking for my opinion on the Kmart Australia $125 Carpet Cleaner so here it is!

And I’m pretty impressed. Given that we will be replacing all the carpets in the near future this is going to come in so handy!

I see the Kmart Carpet Cleaner as a really good house maintenance tool to keep things looking their best. Anyone else bought one yet?

I think I’m officially converted 😂

I’d never used a paint sprayer before, so I had a little practice before I tackled the fence… and honestly, it wasn’t nearly as scary as I thought it was going to be 🙈

Definitely won’t be my last time spraying, next up the house?!

One thing we’ve found really helps with balancing two kids and renovating our house is making sure they each get some proper one-on-one time with us.

Saturday mornings with Ollie are probably my favourite part of the week and Mini Maestros 🤍

It’s such a simple thing, but I think those little pockets of time together make such a difference.

And honestly, I think I enjoy it just as much as he does 🥹
