Finding the right home can change more than where someone lives. For Ryan, getting to the right home in Rosebud took time. After some difficult living experiences, finding somewhere he could feel safe, comfortable and supported became the priority.
Today, things look different.
“There's a consistency to his days that just wasn’t there before.”
His family says Ryan is more settled, relaxed and confident in his day-to-day routine. He enjoys the quiet of Rosebud, being close to the coast, and spending time playing Pokémon and Pokémon Go with his support workers.
“The area really suits him. It’s quiet, it’s calm, and he’s comfortable here.”
It’s not a dramatic overnight change. It’s the result of having the right environment, the right support and a home that works for the person living in it.
As his family put it:
“After everything, just seeing Ryan settled and doing well makes such a difference.”
That’s what a suitable home should provide, a place where someone can feel comfortable being themselves, build confidence and look ahead to what comes next.
