Building on a sloping site looks straightforward on a plan.

On the ground, there's plenty for your builder to think about. Get it wrong and you spend the life of the home apologising for it. Get it right and the site becomes the best thing about the project.

This double-storey family home in Eaglemont is the result of us getting it right. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, solid timber floors throughout, and an open-plan living space that pulls natural light in from every direction.

The slope that made this project difficult is the reason it sits the way it does.
