Land of this scale in Beaconsfield is becoming increasingly difficult to create. Which is precisely why we chose to.

Lot 1 is the largest homesite at Acre Ridge, giving one family the opportunity to think beyond the footprint of the house and consider the life around it.

A substantial home. Pool. Garden. Places to entertain. Space for children now and possibilities for later.

Density has an important role in how our cities grow. So does preserving opportunities for families who want space.

Lot 1 is one of them.

A new street doesn’t need to feel new forever.

At Acre Ridge, Australian native trees have been carefully selected to create generous, tree lined streets that will mature alongside the homes and people around them.

More trees mean more shade, cooler streets and less heat absorbed by hard surfaces. They provide habitat and food for native birds, insects and pollinators, help manage stormwater and, as the canopy establishes, contribute to cleaner air and a healthier local environment.

There’s a human benefit too. Greener streets are simply better places to walk, spend time and live.

For us, landscape is infrastructure. Done well, it works hard for the environment, the community and the character of a place for decades to come.

Every home needs a place to retreat.

A space where the pace slows, the noise fades and the day can be left at the door. Those quieter moments are just as important as the spaces designed for gathering, entertaining and everyday life.

They're shaped through natural light, proportion, texture and restraint. The details aren't always obvious, but they're often what make a home feel settled from the moment you walk in.

Working across South East Queensland has reinforced something we think about on every project.

Lifestyle isn't something that can be added later.

It's already there in the way people use a place. The morning light, the prevailing breeze, the walk to the café, the connection to the water, the park or the coastline. Those patterns exist long before a masterplan is drawn.

Our role is to understand them, not compete with them. The strongest developments feel connected to their location because they've been shaped by it from the beginning.

Some achievements aren't measured in business milestones.

Over five days, Ingrid stepped away from the desk to cycle 500 kilometres through rural Thailand in support of Hands Across the Water, an Australian charity helping children and young adults living in Thai orphanages build a life of choice, opportunity and dignity.

The ride tested everyone. Temperatures soared, the wind refused to cooperate, and many described the conditions as the toughest seen in more than 20 years. Even so, the team pushed through.

Together, the riders raised more than $130,000 for the organisation, with Ingrid and Nick contributing an incredible $15,000.

Marine Quarter is really starting to take shape.

With the structure continuing to rise and more of the building now visible, we’re beginning to see the scale and form of the project come through on site.

There’s plenty happening over the coming months, and as Marine Quarter continues to evolve, we’ll be sharing more of the progress along the way.

There has been a lot written about the future of the Latrobe Valley.

What's equally important is recognising what's already taking place.

Investment across renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, waste to energy and industrial infrastructure is strengthening the region's economy while Morwell continues to offer established services, transport and relative affordability.

Those fundamentals are part of the reason we see long term potential here.

BuildCap has always been driven by a long term view of development.

Managing Director Stuart Biggs brings together experience across property and construction with a genuine appreciation for architecture and placemaking. His focus has never been on delivering projects as quickly as possible, but on creating places that continue to perform long after they're complete.

That thinking continues to shape every project across the BuildCap portfolio.

Every site has its own history.

At Acre Ridge, we felt it was important that development acknowledged what came before rather than replacing it.

You'll see that reflected throughout the community, from the naming of releases to the landscape approach and the retention of the area's natural character. Those decisions help give the estate a stronger sense of place and create a connection between its past and what it will become.

A masterplan can tell you where roads and homes will sit.

It can't tell you where people will stop for a conversation, which footpath they'll naturally choose or where they'll look for shade on a summer afternoon.

Those are the things we spend a lot of time thinking about because they're the details people remember once they move in.
