There’s a lot of noise in the strata industry about insurance commissions.

Yes, it’s an issue. But in my opinion, it’s not the biggest one
For an honest company like ours, if we don’t receive insurance commissions, we adjust our fees accordingly. It’s really no big deal.

Lot owners now have email, photos, and WhatsApp in their pockets, all the time, thanks to smartphones!

A strata manager who once received 20 emails a day now gets 40+.
This change has occurred over the last decade. Year by year, the volume of emails has increased and is now at a point where email is more like chat, rather than a letter.

The flood of communication lifts transparency, but snips time from proactive planning and quality conversations to improve buildings.

Unfortunately, management fees haven’t adjusted to this 21st-century smartphone reality. As such, we commonly hear complaints from clients about other Managers relating to missed emails and correspondence.
