Ultimate Design and Build officially kicked off over 10 years ago, Looking back at these 'youthful' faces of Ben and Mat from when we first started over 10 years ago, it’s clear they were already ready to take on the world!
While they might look youthful in this photo, don't let the lack of grey hair fool you—between them, Ben and Mat now share over 50 years of combined experience in the building industry. They bring this experience to every project, ensuring Ultimate Design and Build delivers quality homes through our network of trusted suppliers to ensure every project meets our customer's high expectations.

A little update from us 👋

Mat and Ben have decided to step away from the franchise — but don’t worry, not much is changing!

Same team, same suppliers, same quality homes… just returning to our previous UDB look and branding.

We’re still your builder and your main point of contact, with the same build process, contracts, timelines and warranties all staying exactly as they are.

We’ve already reached out to all current clients to explain everything. If you pay your preliminary fee before September 2026, you can still go ahead with your franchise design as planned.

We’re really excited about what’s ahead and can’t wait to keep building great homes with you.

We’re looking for a local business in the Yarra Valley or surrounding areas with experience in builder’s cleans and post construction cleans. Must have high attention to detail and proven history. If this is you or you can recommend someone like this we’d love to hear from you.
