πŸ† 2026 AHCS National Show – Bathurst Wrap Up πŸ†

What a fantastic weekend representing **Cleugh Burn Highland Fold** at the Australian Highland Cattle Society Inc National Show in Bathurst!

We were incredibly proud of our young team, bringing home the following results:

Class 1A – Heifer 8 months and under 12 months
4th Place – Buidheag Direach of Cleugh Burn
5th Place – Eilidh Ruadh of Cleugh Burn

Class 9 – Bull 8 months and under 12 months
3rd Place – Cailean Mhor of Cleugh Burn (ET)

A very special congratulations goes to Campagnolo who did an outstanding job handling Buidheag Direach of Cleugh Burn in the Junior Paraders competition. Keira not only won the 12 Years and Under 18 Years Junior Parader Class but went on to be awarded Champion Parader for the show! We couldn't be prouder of her dedication, stockmanship and presentation. 🌟

Sunday saw us compete in the Group Classes, with our home-bred team achieving:

πŸ₯‰ Class 21 – Breeders Group
(Group of 3, both sexes represented, bred and owned by the exhibitor)
3rd Place – Cleugh Burn Highland Fold

πŸ₯‰ Class 22 – Breeders Pair
(Pair of animals, both sexes represented, bred and owned by the exhibitor)
3rd Place – Cleugh Burn Highland Fold

These results are a testament to the breeding program we continue to develop and the consistency of quality coming through our young stock. We are particularly pleased to see both heifers place strongly in a quality national field and for our home-bred cattle to be recognised in the group classes.

A huge thank you to Rob Murrell of Scotchwood Farm for all the help over the weekend, the Australian Highland Cattle Society, the sponsors, volunteers, judges and exhibitors who made the event such a success. Congratulations to all exhibitors on a wonderful show, and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year.

Golden autumn afternoons are best spent creekside with the Coos.
Down in the rustic foothills of Mia Mia, nestled along the Central Victorian Great Dividing Range, our girls have been making the most of the cooler weather β€” grazing peacefully, wandering the creek flats, and soaking up the autumn sunshine.
There’s nothing quite like seeing Highland cattle thriving where they belong: fresh air, rolling country, and open pasture. Cleugh Burn Highland Fold we take pride in breeding quality Highlands with sound structure, calm temperaments, and strong maternal lines, all raised with care in the beautiful Victorian country landscape.
Autumn in the paddock is truly something special πŸ‚πŸ‚
