TV SIGNAL UPDATE - MISSION BEACH
Council has received the following statement from Telstra in response to the Free-to-Air TV signal in Mission Beach:
A local power issue is affecting our mobile site on Dunk Island.

Our backup system kept services running for as long as it could after the power went out, but our network sites can use the same amount of power as ten homes every day, so disruptions will occur if power’s out for a long time.

We're working closely with power authorities and investigating options to hook up a generator to the site until power is restored.

We're on the case and we thank everyone for their patience.
