A night full of music in Bruthen 🎸

Join acclaimed musician Todd Cook & the Rufous Whistlers, Alley Cats Community Choir and Olivia Lay Music for unforgettable evening of collaboration, harmony and song in the charming Bruthen Mechanics Hall.

Experience local songs, inspiring instrumentation and powerful voices of connection and creativity.

6:30pm – Doors open and BBQ 🍖

Come along and make your own lantern at one of our FREE community lantern making workshops! ✨

All workshops run from 10:00am – 2:00pm ⏰
No experience necessary and all lantern making materials provided.
Lights to illuminate your finished masterpieces will be available to purchase for $5 each.

All welcome: children must be supervised by a parent or guardian.

No bookings required for all other workshops - just turn up!

Make a lantern to carry in the Metung Lantern Parade on Saturday 27 June, or at Lakes Lights on Saturday 4 July, or simply create a glowing masterpiece to display at home this winter!

These workshops are FREE thanks to the support of Centre for Rural Communities Inc.

How would you like to be a part of the biggest winter Festival in East Gippsland? 😁

As you'll all know by now East Gippsland Winter Festival is just around the corner and we’re looking for some community-minded volunteers to help bring a few of the festivals highlight events to life! ❄✨

Volunteer roles include crowd marshalling / checking tickets,
serving food and drinks at the official festival opening,
guiding festival goers to place their rubbish in the correct bins, and several other important tasks,
For example: keeping the Lakes Lights lantern parade path clear!

No experience is needed for most roles (RSA required for drink service) 🍸
All you need is a willingness to get involved, meet new people, and be part of something special for our region 🥰

What amazing camouflage! It was only when I got close that realised what this was. A young Tawny Frogmouth. First that I have seen near Gingko Lodge.

I came home yesterday to see these cheeky guys enjoying a treat while 2 more waited in the tree along with some Crimson Rosella's and Bronze Wing Pidgeons. All hopeful!.
