A beautiful Australia Day spent at Mount Barker — good company, meaningful connections, and the simple joy of community living

A lovely morning at Mount Barker, with residents coming together to enjoy the new pickleball courts. Around 20 neighbours joined the try-out session, sharing a relaxed game and easy conversation.

The best part? Pickleball is now becoming a regular catch-up, with sessions twice a week at 10:00am on Wednesdays and Sundays. Everyone is welcome to come along, join a game and share a laugh.

It was a wonderful day celebrating the official opening of our new Country Club at Mount Barker.

Proudly launched by the Mayor of Mount Barker and hosted by Keith Conlon, the event marked the opening of Living Choice’s first land lease seniors’ community and an exciting new chapter focused on wellbeing, connection and enjoying life together.

Designed to encourage an active lifestyle and meaningful social experiences, the Country Club offers residents more opportunities to move, unwind, connect and take part in community life.

Our annual SA Ambassadors Lunch at Flagstaff Hill was a very special occasion. Delicious food, wonderful company, and heartfelt words of appreciation made it a day to remember.

We were pleased to welcome Luke from SA Police, who delivered an engaging and informative presentation on cyber security to our residents. The session focused on how to recognise a scammer, how to protect yourself from scams, and the different types of scams currently circulating.

It was a valuable opportunity for our community to gain practical knowledge and feel more confident navigating the online world. Thank you, Luke, for your time and expertise in helping keep our residents safe and informed.
