Stonybrook at Mount Barker

Hi all,

This is post to inform you all that over the course of December 2021 to March 2022 there will be ongoing construction works along Stonybrook Grove.

These works will involve trenching along the western side of the road and the laying of an 11Kv underground power cable.
Traffic delays and entry/exit restrictions to and from properties can be expected.

So the Mount Barker council is going to be replacing the current leaf dropping oak trees in the estate with a different version of leaf dropping oak trees....
Oh Joy IF only they'd concentrate their efforts on keeping the gardened areas and the reserve's gum trees under control as well as spend some needed effort on beautifing "Barka Park" (dog park)

Good to see that all blocks in the estate have now been built on.
Lets hope the last family to move in to thier new home enjoy and respect the wonderful area that we live in.

Nice to see the council finally doing some work on the Estates garden areas BUT guys dont ya think that the large weeds should be removed BEFORE spreading the bark chips...
I really think some of the workers are not all there if you know what i mean..

Extremely hot weather here at Stonybrook at Mount Barker today and with 3 more days of temperatures above 40 degrees ahead before a cool change, its going to be a rough few days for us all.

Please Please remember to keep cool where possible (use your air conditioner if you have one) and also think of any pets that will be outside during the heat of the day and supply them shelter and plenty of water. Also remember to have a Bushfire Action Plan ready just incase, especially after the fires near Rockleigh and Monarto today

Its going to be a week of Hot Hot Hot weather next week. Remember to keep ya gardens/lawns well watered and make sure your pets have shelter and plenty of water to drink if they are going to be outside during the heat of the day
