Hi, all new followers.

We have had a fantastic few days. Our first incubator is hatching nicely and the house is full of beautiful little excited chirps.

A new ewe lamb in the paddock as well and waiting on two calf's to be born.

Hi, it has been a long time and so much has happened.
I did not sell all of my animals, and the idea of a farm without animals, is like a pub with no b**r!! What a sad turn of events!!

I have decided to make one last attempt at operating my small acreage with my animals and the costs that coincide with nurturing them and raising them with love and care.

For all of you whom have continued to check out this page, regardless of no updates, and to those new followers.

I will try to do things differently with all I have learnt on this journey so far!

Wye Not Farm is being reborn, a new operation, a new name (same ideas) that I feel captures my thoughts and feelings about how lucky I am and what I hoped and continue to believe this life will be.

I sadly was not able to fulfill my aspirations and dreams where I am currently located. Life, people and regulations have prevented setting this up. So where to from here???

A possible scene change and start over. Not sure what the future holds.

In the meantime, I would like to say many thanks to everyone that followed this page.

I would ask you to check out and follow NEW LIFE HOMESTEAD. A page has been created and a website is under construction at www.newlifehomestead.com.au.

The business is commencing slowly with poultry sales of day old unsexed chicks that are Australorp X Wyandottes. 12 available currently. In the future, pure bred Quamby Chickens and collection or postage of fertile eggs Australia wide. Local sales in SW Vic and Limestone Coast of Pullets once breeding flocks are of age.

Regretfull sale. Very sad to need to part with my beautiful animals. Farm life :( Miniature dwarf Dexter, Cystal. Hyland cross Belted Galloway bull, Darli. Darli is double polled genetics. And Chocolate Brown Bull calf, Mike, with his curly Hyland fur. My animals need a new home. Belted calf was Darli's second, for information. Such a hard decision.

Seems that life always has the ability to turn simple ideas into obstacles.

Facebook is a means of connecting with people and meeting people in addition to electronically sharing one's life.

I had no intention of operating a business.
I had no intention of making a profit or competing with anyone.

Wye Not Farm is not a business. Does not have a business number, model, plan.

Wye Not Farm is a home, a hobby farm. A dream.

For the immediate time, our apologies for any person interested in staying at the farm. We ignorantly did not understand that allowing people to stay in a tent on your own property requires such heavy planning, regulation and management.

We are currently unable to offer any Stays on our property. We are not a tourist camp ground.

This means the two tents will be private use and storage not for public or tourist operation until planning, design, approvals are met, which seems out of scope for a hobby farm.

Moving forwards, I guess.

Last post for tonight. Some photos from 2 nights ago. Tyring to capture the driveway lights, not sure I succeeded to my satisfaction and the tent lit up from within. Photo turned out amazing I think.
