5 To Try - 🔥 New Restaurants on the Block 🔥
There’s something pretty exciting about discovering a new neighbourhood favourite before everyone else catches on. 👀
Fresh fit-outs, menus you haven’t memorised yet and that all-important question… could this be our new regular?
From modern Filipino flavours and smoky tandoor cooking to brunch classics, fragrant curries and a new neighbourhood bar on the way, there are plenty of new(ish) faces popping up around our patch.
Here are 5 spots to add to your must-try list:
📍 MOUNT LAWLEY
Rina’s on Beaufort Rina’s on Beaufort
📌 Corner of Central Avenue & Beaufort Street
Cabinet treats, pastries, cakes, brunch classics, sandwiches and specialty coffee. Basically, everything you need for a “just popping in for a coffee” visit that somehow turns into brunch.
📍 INGLEWOOD

📌 Beaufort Street, between Eighth & Ninth Avenues
Modern Filipino flavours are coming to the former Jesse’s Curry Kitchen site. ETA not confirmed yet but we’re so excited to keep a look out for this one...Filipino food is having a moment in Perth, and we’re very much here for it.
Three Monsoons
📌 850A Beaufort Street
Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi flavours in the former Kasama space. Our advice? Bring friends, order generously and put everything in the middle of the table.
📍 BEDFORD
Tandoor & Chai Tandoor & Chai
📌 176B Grand Promenade
Traditional Indian and Pakistani dishes, smoky tandoor cooking and a proper cup of kadak chai. Sharing is encouraged. Ordering just one more thing is inevitable.
📍 MOUNT HAWTHORN
Bar Lyla bar lyla
📌 1/155 Scarborough Beach Road
Opening October 2026, this new spot from the team behind Sonny’s is taking over the former La Madonna Nera space. Think w**e, classic cocktails and small plates in a more intimate neighbourhood setting.
