🔔 Important Changes from 1 July 2026 – Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Requirements
From 1 July 2026, all conveyancers across Australia are required to comply with new Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) laws.
So, what does this mean for you?
When buying or selling property, you will be required to provide additional information and documentation, including:
✅ Proof of identity
✅ Information about the source of your funds
✅ Details about companies, trusts or other entities involved in the transaction
These new requirements are designed to help protect Australia’s property market from money laundering and financial crime.
We understand this may mean a little more paperwork, but please know we’re here to guide you through every step. Providing requested information promptly will help avoid unnecessary delays with your transaction.
