💙 We all know that Murray Bridge is a place where people can live well and thrive – and now a lot more people are about to as well!

Murray Bridge is set to become South Australia’s largest regional city with the announcement of Gifford Hill – an 1860-hectare development led by Grange Development and the Costa Property Group. Projected to bring 17,100 new homes, Gifford Hill will be the largest single development in South Australia since the 1950s. This along with other substantial residential developments underway across our communities, will strengthen Murray Bridge as a thriving regional city and the heart of the Murraylands.

Growth brings vibrancy. It means more services, more jobs, a boost for local business and access for all to new facilities and green open space. Council is actively preparing for this growth to enable well planned and connected communities and ensure that our much loved lifestyle is enhanced.

"SOUTH AUSTRALIA-NEW SOUTH WALES BORDER

After completing a joint investigation and resurvey of the common boundary between New South Wales and South Australia, the Surveyors General of both states have redetermined the position of the border.

The section of border redetermined starts at the River Murray and proceeds generally northwards, on or about the 141° east meridian of longitude, to Cameron Corner at the intersection point of the New South Wales and Queensland border.

The lines adopted for the border follow as closely as possible, using remaining historical evidence, the original position as determined by Smalley and Todd in 1868 and subsequently adopted by the colonies of New South Wales and South Australia as their common boundary.
