*$*Stamp Duty changes transferring ownership of investment properties between spouses.*$*
You may have seen some articles recently about stamp duty changes announced in the Victorian Budget in relation to transfer of property between spouses. From 1st July 2017 it is expected that the transfer of property between spouses will no longer be exempt from stamp duty, unless it is their principal place of residence or it is a transfer following a relationship breakdown.
