There is a man known as the “Squatter Hunter.”
His real name is Flash Shelton.
And his method is as strange as it sounds.
When homeowners are stuck with squatters they cannot easily remove, Shelton gets legal permission from the owner, often through a lease, and moves into the property himself.
Then the squatters suddenly have a new roommate.
One who documents everything.
Knows the law.
And has no intention of leaving first.
Instead of waiting months for the system to catch up, he uses legal pressure, cameras, confrontation, and persistence to make the situation uncomfortable enough that the squatters decide to leave.
He says the key is doing it legally.
Not breaking in.
Not pretending.
Not threatening people.
But using the owner’s permission and the same housing rules squatters often rely on.
It is a bizarre solution to a bizarre problem.
A homeowner loses control of their own house.
So the Squatter Hunter moves in.
And turns the tables.
