Cotalityโ€™s (formerly Corelogic) August Home Value Index (HVI) has been released. Some insights are below:

๐Ÿ“ˆ National dwelling values increased by 0.6% in July, maintaining a consistent pace of growth compared to the previous two months.
โœ… This represents the sixth consecutive month of value gains, coinciding with the initial interest rate cut back in February.
๐Ÿฆ˜ Dwelling values rose across all capital cities during the month.
๐Ÿš๏ธ The continued uplift in housing values is underpinned by persistently low stock levels, with national listings sitting 19% below the five-year average for this time of year.
๐Ÿ™๏ธ Regional markets (up 1.7%) are no longer leading, as the combined capitals recorded a slightly stronger rolling quarterly increase of 1.8%.
๐Ÿ’ฒSeasonally adjusted national rents rose by 1.1% over the three months to July, a rebound from the recent low of 0.5% during last yearโ€™s September quarter.
๐Ÿฆ With additional rate cuts likely on the horizon, housing values are projected to keep rising, albeit at a more moderate pace.
