Investigations are ongoing after a 36-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted while trying to assist a man with a dog at Broadmeadow on Friday August 18, around 12:20pm.

The woman stopped her car on Denny Street to help the man retrieve his dog when the man allegedly assaulted the dog repeatedly before assaulting the woman.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 30-35, about 185cm tall, and of a large build, and was riding a grey mountain bike with a long black top, black shorts and a black beanie at the time of the alleged incident.
