Ditch the city stress—its outback droughtie looking but the cows are waiting! 🤠🚜Afternoons like this are officially sponsored by peace, quiet, and a cold one. 🍻 Drinks on the verandah, and the cows in the paddock are providing the ultimate country entertainment.As for your stress? Zero worries allowed around here—they were left at the gate (and Pip the farm dog promised not to let them back in). 🐶🌾Grab your boots and come test out the swing chairs!

The grandkids have the best time with Papa—no technology, just sunshine and fresh air, with a few cows and dogs thrown in. It’s a great reminder of how good it feels to slow down and unplug.

Working Hard or Hardly Working?

Meet Susie Roo — our new chief groundskeeper and professional grass-keeper (Joey apprenticeship completed after a rigorous 10-week orientation). Her preferred lawn-maintenance technique is “chew and inspect,” which so far has the yards looking…well not much different!Concentration was regularly interrupted by Fred (overseer), Pip (meet & greet PR), Chester (cleaning assistant) and Peppa (official guest BBQ taster), so progress is steady-ish.

At knock-off everyone happily packed into the Yaris — our all-round, all-terrain cleaning rig — hopped home for lunch and a well-earned rest (Susie included, tucked in the glovebox…just kidding — she prefers the middle of front seat).

75 ml of rain has certainly added a green tinge to the country. Possibly a bit late in the season for much growth, but thankful for the full tanks and greenness even if short lived. 🙏

"Starry nights at Piralilla Cabins ✨🌌

The sky’s been behaving like it’s showing off — so impressive, I tried some iPhone photography (first pic: mine: amateur blur), then our most recent guest Scott Lunn came through with these pro-level shots.

So a huge thanks to Scott for these stunning photos — the country sky here is unbeatable without city light pollution. Endless constellations, a few shooting stars, and a peaceful silence that makes the universe feel close enough to touch. Book a stay to see it for yourself.

Grateful for our wonderful guests and the simple freedom farm life gives us. Days here are often calm and steady, but balancing jobs, cabins, and farm tasks can be a juggle. I’ll finish a shift and head straight to clean a cabin — not a chore, but a pleasure. Preparing each space for visitors is an honor, and the little notes and kind messages guests leave make it all so worthwhile. Their curiosity and appreciation remind me how lucky we are.
