Building on the momentum of another successful year in the Queensland property market, we’re thrilled about the exciting opportunities 2025 holds for savvy investors!

So how are things looking out there? Well the property market forecasts for 2025 indicate more positive growth in particular for the Sunshine Coast and Gympie regions in Queensland.

Sunshine Coast:

Property Prices: The Sunshine Coast is expected to experience a significant increase in property values. According to Propertyology's 2025 Property Market Outlook, the region is projected to see house price growth between 12% and 16%, driven by a strong local economy and an active home upgrade market.

The Sun is still shinning on the Sunshine Coast

Queensland “Beautiful one day & perfect the next” & the sun continues to shine on our property market too.

Home prices on the Sunshine Coast have climbed during the past three months, after an extreme up-and-down ride in recent years. Property values have increased 1.1 per cent on the Sunshine Coast, and 0.13 per cent nationwide, quarter on quarter, according to property experts PropTrack. There was a stunning rise in prices around the region and beyond after the onset of COVID, followed by a decline, before the latest resurgence. Senior economist Eleanor Creagh told Sunshine Coast News that “home prices have now reversed that downward trend”. “The price falls eased towards the end of last year and they’re actually now moving upwards,” she said. Ms Creagh said the latest increase was due to several factors. “Downward pressure from (10 straight) interest rate rises is now being offset by the fact that there is a limited supply of properties available for sale, which is concentrating interest and underpinning home prices,” she said. “We’ve also got positive demand drivers stemming from incredibly tight markets and a strong rebound in immigration which, combined with that limited stock on the market, is buoying home values.”*

The Sunshine Coast rental market is also seeing low vacancy rates. The latest from SQM is 1.6%, with only 849 rentals available on the market.** Given the state of the current rental market there is a continued need for Investors to build more homes for more families.

Furthermore, the Sunshine Coast continues to attract a high caliber of new residents. The general theme seems to be entrepreneurial, independent, family focused, lifestyle loving individuals who appreciate the good life and balance of business and pleasure.
