Myponga Reservoir 💧🌲🦘

When you're about 15 minutes' drive away from Normanville you drive past Myponga Reservoir.

It's a beautiful spot, a huge body of water surrounded by forests and native bushland, and home to many kangaroos (see pic 4).

Main South Road runs along one side of the reservoir and through Myponga township, and even runs over the reservoir for a small section. Turn off at Eatts Street Myponga to explore the reservoir's walking trails.

Reservoir Road, however, takes you through the rolling hills of Myponga providing stunning views of the reservoir. You'll reach the reservoir lookout, which is a great spot to take in the dam wall, the reservoir and all of the surrounding nature. After you've stopped at the lookout, continue down Reservoir Road and drive along the top of the dam wall. It's a fun experience!

You'll then reach Forktree Road, and you're just minutes away from Little Norma 🚗🏞️

The Little Rickshaw has been on my bucket list for a while, I'd heard great things about their incredible food served in an old blacksmiths workshop in Aldinga. Last weekend we finally made it there and it was a great experience.

We had the set menu which included 9 courses, all so tasty and interesting and beautiful. The southeast Asian flavours are punchy and fresh, and the service is first class.

So many good things have out of Aldinga in recent years and The Little Rickshaw
is a jewel in Aldinga's cool and creative crown 👑

Between Normanville Jetty and Carrickalinga Head Lookout there's about 4km of stunning beach to explore, and it's dog friendly so you can take your favourite furry walking companion along too.
