What can happen when two dairy farmers decide to "have a crack"?

Twenty years ago in Myponga, Barry Clarke suggested to Geoff Hutchinson that they should bottle their own milk.

Two days later, Geoff rang back and said it was a goer.

That decision grew into Fleurieu Milk Company - today employing 130 people and sourcing milk from nine Fleurieu farms.

'She by the Sea' is a South Australian Living Artists (SALA) exhibition showcasing painting, photography, mixed media and textiles — hosted at the Yankalilla Library and Cultural Centre from 7 to 16 August.

Featuring works by Betty Wolf, Irene Polias, Jane Smeets, Jane Whitelock, Lynette McNamara, Mel Steer, Nicole Gilding, Carla Blair, Regine Schwarzer, Lorraine Zeni, Judith Sweetman and Wendy McPhee.

The exhibition opens on Friday 7 August with guest speaker Becc Bates, Chief Executive Officer of the Centre of Immersive Light and Art in Adelaide.
