HARD RUBBISH COLLECTION - Early morning, Wednesday 27 JULY 2022
What hard waste will be collected?
We’ll collect a maximum of one cubic metre (1 metre x 1 metre x 1 metre) of hard waste including:
• old tins, scrap iron, steel, and other waste metal products (including barbecues)
• pottery, ceramics, and chinaware
• sheet glass which is securely wrapped and clearly marked as “glass”
• mattresses
• small rugs (no more than 1.5m long) – rolled and taped and tied
• E-waste of all sizes and types
• Household appliances (such as refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves and washing machines (doors removed) televisions, videos, air conditioners, mowers, etc.)
• household furniture
• tools & equipment
• toys, bicycles, and sporting equipment
• timber less than 1 m in length, maximum of 10 pieces per Premises
• hot water units
• similar materials generally of a household nature.
What hard waste won’t be collected?
We won't collect any of the following materials:
• tree roots, branches and materials weighing in excess of 30kgs each
• trade waste from industrial or commercial premises
• waste resulting from er****on, renovation or demolition of buildings
• fences and scrap fencing materials
• liquid waste including chemicals, paint, and motor oil – see chemical waste for disposal options
• Garbage and Recyclables
• Polystyrene and Styrofoam
• bricks, concrete, rubble, excavation material, dirt or stones;
• hazardous/offensive wastes, including asbestos
• car bodies either whole or dismantled
• car, truck and tractor tyres
• unwrapped panes of broken glass
• garden waste (consider booking a free garden waste collection)
• any material contained in Designated Containers.
