I’m not usually a fan of government initiatives, but the Northern Rivers Rail Trail projects in NSW are an absolute winner! Converting old disused railway lines into cycling tracks is such a brilliant way to encourage regional tourism and get outdoors.
We just tackled two major sections - the Lismore to Casino trail (29.7km each way) and the Crabbes Creek to Murwillumbah trail (24km each way). It's an incredible way to experience the scenery, historic bridges, and small towns of regional NSW.
Highly recommended for the bucket list if you haven’t tried them yet!
