Just so you know the rules
There are concerning outbreaks of COVID-19 occurring in other states and territories across Australia.

To protect South Australians, from 29 June, additional measures are being temporarily introduced to help reduce the spread of the virus.

Update to restrictions include:
▪ 1 person per 2 square metres for all defined public activities and gatherings.
▪ Private gatherings 150 people maximum.
▪ Weddings and funerals at licensed premises can have venue capacity (1 person per 2 square metres).
▪ Weddings and funerals at other venues can have maximum capacity of 150 people.
▪ Seated consumption of food and beverages at all indoor venues.
▪ Seated entertainment like cinemas or live theatre or performance venues can have up 75% capacity if patrons wear masks.
▪ Masks are mandatory in health care setting and personal care services.
▪ Masks recommended on public transport and taxis or rideshare services.
▪ Dancing is not permitted at nightclubs and relevant licensed premises.
▪ Singing is not permitted indoors, unless it is a performance, an education establishment or a private lesson. This does not apply to residential premises.
▪ Onsite purchase and consumption of sh**ha is prohibited.

Always good to get behind a good cause!
Ig

When Gordon heard about the funding cut to the Hutt St Centre, he made a generous donation.

It is because of great South Australians like Gordon that homelessness services can continue their important work in our community.

So please donate if you can - big or small, every donation will made a difference: https://www.huttstcentre.org.au/donate?amt=30

More fab locations to meet upadelaide Ig
After a quiet year for bar openings in 2020 (no prizes for guessing why), 2021 has gifted us a bunch of exciting new boozers. Perhaps most exciting: they’re not all in the CBD, with Adelaide’s small-bar scene finally making a play for the suburbs. Our dining scene has been a little slower off the mark. But there’s plenty to come in the second half of the year. At the link in bio, we raise a glass to the bars and restaurants that have caught our attention so far.

Something needs fixing?
✨ HAPPENING TODAY 10-12:30 ✨
We can help with:
- Electrical
- Battery-powered items
- Software (no Macs)
- Wooden items
- Bikes
- Clothing + textiles (including wooll) - note our sewist is available til 11am only!
- Small furniture
- Mechanical
- Garden tools, power tools
- most general household items EXCEPT white goods, cars, clocks/ watches

Housekeeping:

🔧 We close the doors at 12:30pm.
LAST REPAIRS at 12:00pm or earlier if we’re busy - we recommend arriving well before this to give yourself enough time to complete your repair.

🔧 One item per person at a time. If you’ve worked on your first item and there’s still time left, you may re-join the queue – we want everyone to have the same chance of learning some new repair skills!

🔧 We will have a large range of tools and equipment needed to make repairs, but we do not keep a stock of spare parts. We will have small bits and pieces (screws, buttons, etc), but if your repair requires a specific part, you'll need to source that yourself. We can help you diagnose the issue on arrival to determine what part you need.

🔧 The Clarence Park Food Co-op is open 10:30-12:30pm in the same space, selling bulk non-perishables like nuts, pasta, flour, dried legumes, honey, oil, tahini, dried fruit, etc. Bring your own containers and support mainly local organic producers!
We will also have a table to run a produce swap if you have items to swap (please adhere to current Fruit Fly restrictions - the Centre is a red zone).

SESSION CHANGES (COVID-safe)
- You will register for both contact tracing AND your item. We‘ll explain when you arrive.
- We'll have additional cleaning/hygiene measures in place throughout the morning.

Are we ready for another skyscraper?

Our ever changing skyline could soon welcome this new beast of a tower on North Terrace. Situated behind the Freemasons Masonic Lodge, this tower would complement its neighbouring buildings , and the new student accomodation tower that is close to topping out! This tower would be a welcome addition to the vibrant east-end with and the new at its doorstep! What do you think Adelaide? After all we are Australia’s most liveable city….😉😃

We have a lot of people ask us what 'SALA' stands for: it is an acronym for South Australian Living Artists.

SALA is a winter festival that celebrates visual artists who are living and working in South Australia.
